Our second annual 228 Day celebration is a unique opportunity for businesses, community leaders, and individuals to support Gulf Coast Community Foundation and its Community Impact Fund, which helps address community needs and sustain our work across South Mississippi. It also marks our 36th year of putting passion into action!
Inspired by our area code, 228 Day reflects the spirit of South Mississippi—neighbors supporting neighbors and businesses investing where they live and work. That’s what 228 Day celebrates, and your gift helps make that work possible when needs and opportunities arise. Plus, through Mississippi’s Endow Mississippi Tax Credit Program, your gift may qualify for a 25% state tax credit, making it an even more powerful way to invest in your community.
We’ll be sharing details throughout February on all of our 228 Day events. For now, you can register for the February 6 professional development workshop, CyberSecure the Gulf Coast, hosted by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by AGJ Systems & Networks and Gallagher, with GCCF as a proud partner. More opportunities are coming soon, including our 228 Day Open House & Celebration on February 27 at 8 a.m. at the Knight Nonprofit Center.
